Numerous kinds of "product supply equipment" can be integrated with our Form Fill Seal Bagger. Here are 3 methods commonly used. Volumetric Cup Filling, Auger Filling and Weigh Filling.

While Auger and Weigh Filling seems to be most predominant in the market place, volumetric cup filling is a solid alternative to it. Unlike counting revolutions or time or weight, cup filling goes by a determined volume. If a product changes in weight through the manufacturing process or being a natural product, volumetric cup filling will return even fill levels.
For example:
The product to fill is popcorn. But there are 2 varieties: Regular and Caramel. The caramel will have more weight per kernel. Filling by weight can return containers or bags only half full when filling caramel kernel even though both, regular and caramel have the same weight in the bag.

Speeds up to 80 containers per minute are possible with this volumetric cup filler.

Auger Filling into Form Fill Seal Equipment still is the most common way of filling integration. Obvious advantages of this technology still remain speed and versatility.

Dusty products are best filled with Auger technology. Flour and simular dusty products can be filled very efficient with limited dust creation. Form Fill Seal equipment seals bags by welding two adjacent layers of film together. Cup or weigh filling dumps the product at once and therefore causing it to "back splash", reducing the success rate of a positive bag seal. Auger fillers dispense the product through auger rotation, limiting the impact of the product at the bottom of the bag.

In Line Weigh Fillers are a very valid option for form fill seal equipment set-ups.
Not only does it come with the benefit of high accuracy, some products will need weigh filling technology for best results. There is certainly a grey area where some products overlap and could be run on either, Weigh fillers, Volumetric Fillers or Auger Fillers.
